Webinar: leading the way in sustainability
Publication date: 2 October 2024On Thursday 10 October, during World Ecolabel Day, SMK is hosting a webinar on sustainability claims and quality marks. The webinar focuses on the latest European regulations against greenwashing, the Green Claims Directive, and the role that reliable labels such as the EU Ecolabel play in this regard.
During the webinar, several expert speakers will share their knowledge. Paulien van der Geest, label expert at Milieu Centraal, will discuss greenwashing, how consumers view labels and where their needs lie. Ineke Vlot, programme manager of the EU Ecolabel, will discuss European regulations, the requirements for substantiating sustainability claims and how the EU Ecolabel can support this. In addition, other experts will explain what it takes to get sustainability performance officially recognised with EU Ecolabel.
